Consecutive Interpretation

In this mode of interpretation, interpreters repeat the passage in the target language after the speaker. They sit in the same meeting room, and translate at regular time intervals of 5-10 minutes, which depends on the difficulty and depth of the subject concerned. For the long interpretation services, a special note taking skill is used to convey the message accurately. Depending on the size of the meeting room, speakers and interpreters may need microphones. Interpreters need to train their skills on text analysis, note taking and public speaking skills. Additional time for the consecutive interpretation needs to be considered when planning a meeting.

This mode of interpretation service is convenient for smaller meetings, trainings, as well as business negotiation or interviews.
